HA414 : Investigating the effect of coaching on employee empowerment baxsed on the mediating variable of employee creativity

Abstarct: Abstract In a world of business competition, the importance of empowering the employees of an organization is not hidden from anyone. Capable employees can use their skills, including creativity, to address the challenges facing the organization. Nowadays, managers try to empower their employees through various means such as training, counseling, mentoring and coaching as a relatively new approach. The present study will investigate the effect of coaching on employees’ empowerment baxsed on the mediating variable of employees’ creativity. In this study, by distributing standard questionnaires of coaching McLain et al., employee empowering Spritzer and Mishra and employee creativity of Ganson and Weitz among 130 employees of Yass Home Appliances Group located in Mashhad, Iran and Collect the obtained data, it was concluded that coaching has a significant and positive effect on employee empowerment and staff creativity. Employees' creativity has also had a significant and positive effect on their empowerment. Finally, by analyzing the data with Smart PLS software, it was found that coaching baxsed on the mediating variable of employees’ creativity can have a significant and positive effect on employees’ empowerment.
